Fair housing commitment

NHScore supports equal housing opportunity and designs its matching, content, and sponsor program to avoid discriminatory steering.

Our product rules

NHScore does not use race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, disability, or other characteristics protected by applicable law to create neighborhood matches. We also exclude age, marital status, and political affiliation from the matching model.

We do not describe a neighborhood by the types of people who live there, help users seek or avoid protected groups, or use school or crime data as a proxy for demographic composition.

What the quiz does use

The current model uses non-demographic lifestyle and housing preferences such as walkability, urban pace, quiet, recreation, water access, commute convenience, housing style, space, and a rough budget tier. See the methodology for the complete model.

Information about schools and safety

When NHScore links to school accountability or public safety information, it directs users toward current official sources and address-level verification. We do not guarantee school assignment, school quality, safety, or future conditions.

Sponsor conduct

Market sponsors must comply with fair housing, licensing, advertising, privacy, and anti-discrimination requirements. A sponsor may not use an NHScore introduction to steer, discriminate, or infer protected characteristics. NHScore may suspend a sponsor for credible violations.
