About NHScore

Neighborhood research should serve the person moving.

NHScore turns lifestyle priorities into an explainable shortlist, then gets out of the way unless a visitor asks for more help.

Who is responsible

NHScore is operated by MC Media LLC. The owner is responsible for the site’s editorial content, model assumptions, corrections, and sponsor program. Contact mickey@nhscore.com; NHScore is an independent project, not a government agency.

The relaunch

NHScore began as The Neighborhood Score, an early neighborhood-matching project with national data and interactive experiments. The 2026 relaunch keeps the useful idea—helping people compare how places may fit daily life—while replacing opaque scoring, stale listings, and forced lead capture with a smaller, clearer product.

Our operating principles

  • Value before contact. Results appear before any email, phone, or agent prompt.
  • Explain the match. A user can see the factors, tradeoffs, method, and limitations.
  • Ask only what is needed. Quiz matching avoids protected traits and sensitive demographic proxies.
  • Use official sources. High-stakes facts belong at their current public source, not in a timeless ranking.
  • One deliberate introduction. Contact details are sent only after explicit consent and never auctioned to a list.

Why Tampa first

A useful neighborhood product is local. Tampa Bay has meaningful variation in geography, water access, urban form, commute patterns, flood and evacuation research, and housing types. Starting with one metro lets NHScore be more specific and easier to correct.

How the business works

Consumers use NHScore free. One approved local professional may sponsor an available market for a flat $149 monthly subscription. Sponsorship supports the guide and makes that professional eligible to receive explicit consumer-requested introductions. NHScore promises neither lead volume nor a particular business result.

Editorial independence

Local sponsorship funds clearly labeled placements, not changes to quiz scores or research conclusions. Official source links are independent research tools, not endorsements of NHScore. The numeric quiz profiles are subjective starting assumptions; they are not extracted from those agencies’ data.

Corrections and contact

Neighborhood information changes. Send a correction, privacy request, or general question to mickey@nhscore.com. For a correction, include the page URL, the statement in question, a dated primary source where possible, and what needs changing. Do not email sensitive housing, identity, or payment documents. We will review the evidence and correct or clarify material errors. A page’s revision date records an actual edit, not a claim that every external record is current.
